This article is showing a misrepresentation of the student body. The student senate consists of many unelected members. Also while there are many specific rpesen5atives for various groups on campus there is no specific representation for the Sub-Free members of our community. I personally don't believe that the t amethyst initiative will achieve it's goal, but rather will create another access point for the excessive alcohol abuse that already occurs on college campuses today, and yet another way the college students can remain unaccountable for their actions. The red-watch band program started at SUNY Stony Brook recently would provide a much better way of helping to educated the student body and protect the students.
