I would like to thank all of the dedicated workers who shoveled the walkways, steps and open areas around campus on the wet and snowy day of Feb. 13.
We often forget to recognize the tremendous, relentless effort of these underpaid workers to keep Lehigh running safe through the winter.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I would also like to charge each Lehigh student, faculty and staff member to show a greater appreciation to the fine men and women who work in the worst of conditions to make our campus beautiful and snow-free.
Next time it snows, remember that a simple "thank you" goes a long way.
Better yet, bring one or two of the workers a cup of hot chocolate.
I know they would appreciate it.
