The Committee on Undergraduate Awards and Prizes and Assistant Vice-Provost and Dean of Students Sharon K. Basso are holding nominations for Student Life Leadership Awards.
The 11 awards recognize Lehigh students who make a difference on campus.
The dean of students office said the awards are among the most prestigious at Lehigh.
The awards recognize good academic standing, leadership, service and genuine compassion toward peers.
Awards that honor specific work within a club or organization also are given, including the residence hall association character award for students who work to improve Lehigh through residential services.
A few awards honor groups, including the Student Club of the Year Award for the most active and driven organization on campus.
Students can nominate their peers through an online form at https://www.lehigh.edu/studentawards. Nominations are being accepted until Friday, Feb. 22.
The human resource department is holding nominations for the Tradition of Excellence Award. The award honors full and part-time staff members that exhibit leadership, creativity, dedication and community service.
Specific criteria include outstanding character, job performance and team-focused contributions. The award was introduced in 2003 in an effort to give a "thank you and handshake" to employees who contributed significantly to the university.
Honored staff members receive a thank-you letter from President Alice Gast, a check for $150, a certificate and a medallion.
Any student or staff member can nominate an individual or group of people through an online form at http://www.lehigh.edu/~inhro/TOE.htm. Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis until March 31.
