To those who say the Bible is outdated, mis-translated or irrelevant, I challenge you to soak up the good word as it comes to us from Lehigh's own, Pastor David Green.
Green, who heads the Reformed University Fellowship, has taken his years of biblical studies to devise a simple four-step program to achieve true love.
Lecturing recently to his group, Green summarized step four by stating, "But God is firm on this point, and it is the fourth key to the growth of wonderful love between a man and a woman. This is not the place to give a full treatment of this topic, but we will simply note that this passage in Ephesians makes clear that a man is the head of his home, and a woman must submit to him.
This means all it appears to mean. The man is in charge. The woman does not have an equal vote. Her role is to follow her man."
Amen, Brother Green. I am glad to see there are still people clinging to the oppressive, patriarchal ways of the 18th century.
